Founded in 2022 by a former Canadian Special Operations Operator, Sebastien Bouchard, 242 GROUP is a collective of highly trained personnel that leverages decades of top-tier, multinational Special Forces and Elite Police experience working in high-threat, dynamic environments.
242 GROUP’s Directors and Operatives provide mission-specific intelligence, protection and problem-solving capabilities at levels historically unavailable to private individuals or corporate entities.
The name 242 has unique meaning. It refers to a fighter Squadron originally formed in August 1918. 242 Squadron was reformed in WW2, and were unofficially named the ‘Canadian squadron,’ as it consisted of many Canadians serving in the RAF.
Our founder is also a Canadian who served 20 years in the Canadian military; 15 of those as a Special Forces Operator within the Canadian Special Operations Regiment. In 2023, Sebastien transitioned all of his experience, network and knowledge to the private security sector. Just as the Canadians of 242 Squadron protected and served, our team will protect and serve you and your interests with the utmost care, precision and professionalism.
242 GROUP Ltd opened our first office in London, UK, offering Targeted Security Solutions to public, private, corporate and governmental individuals and organisations internationally. As the group has expanded, 242 GROUP became both 242 GROUP Ltd, specialising in services throughout Europe, Africa & Asia, and 242 GROUP Inc focusing on the Americas and Canada.
In 2025, two additional 242 GROUP offices were established, one in Florida, United States of America and another in Ontario, Canada, to serve North and South America and Canada under 242 GROUP Inc.
